There are chants from the Mass (introit = entrance chant; offertorium = offertory chant; communio = communion chant) and from the Liturgy of the Hours or Divine Office (hymns, responsories, antiphons for the canticles Benedictus from morning prayer and Magnificat from evening prayer.)

Additonal Information about this CD

We sing with St. John the Baptist (June 24), the one who preceded Jesus and heralded his coming. We sing with St. Joseph (March 19), spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We sing with the great founders of the religious orders – St. Benedict (March 21) for the Benedictines, St. Ignatius of Loyola (July 31) for the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), St. Dominic (August 8) for the Dominicans, and St. Francis of Assisi (October 4) for the Franciscans. In singing with St. Ignatius and St. Francis, we are also honoring Pope Francis who is the first pope to take the name Francis and who comes from the Jesuit order. We sing with the female Benedictines St. Scholastic (February 10), sister of St. Benedict, and St. Hildegard of Bingen (September 17), the famous medieval visionary, leader, writer, and composer. We sing with the Gospel writers St. Matthew (September 21) and St. Luke (October 18), who were apostles along with Ss. Peter and Paul (June 29).
